With the H0 model of the Vectron electric locomotive of FS Mercitalia in Era VI, PIKO is fulfilling the wishes of PIKO fans who, both as system operators and collectors, have decided on models based on the latest railway technology. With the Vectron, PIKO supplies a high-precision model that has numerous extras based on a solid zinc die-cast frame and equipped with tried and tested PIKO standards. The tried and tested PIKO motor ensures excellent running properties with two large flywheels. The tractive power of the locomotive, which is driven by all four axles, is increased by two traction tires that sit diagonally on the axles of both bogies running inside. The head and tail lamps are illuminated by LEDs, the red or white of which changes with the direction of travel.
