The class V 160 or 216 was the express locomotive for lines without catenary wire on the German Federal Railroad in the 1960s and 1970s. The model of this important vehicle type not only fills a gap in PIKO´s N assortment, but will also enrich many model railroad layouts of epochs III to V with numerous variants. The development team has implemented the striking styling of the prototype in outstanding quality in the model and at the same time achieved ideal driving characteristics.
