The four-axle container wagons of the class Uacs are goods wagons for the transport of bulk and dust goods. The cars are subdivided according to their cargo: While the Uacs-x are loaded with industrial products, such as coal dust, the Uacs-y are used for the transport of food products, such as soda or flour. The large original wagons are painted inside with a special epoxy resin substance and have a pneumatic aerating system. Both types, the Uacs-x and the Uacs-y, have the same basic structure with UIC bogies of the type Y 25 Cs and a welded lower frame. The cars are filled via filler caps mounted on top of the container’s roof, which can be reached via railings. The cars are emptied by a compressed air system.
