The EMD SD90/43MAC is a 6000 hp class C-C shaft AC motor-driven electric diesel locomotive, one of the most powerful one-engine locomotives in the United States along with the SD80MAC. Its exterior features include a large radiator section that extends the full width of the car.

At the 1999 United Way ceremony in Calgary, Canadian Pacific Railway unveiled the SD90/43MAC

with the United Way logo and “Pulling for United Way” written on it as PR for the United

Way fundraising campaign.
