N E3-2000 Series Shinkansen “Tsubasa” New Colour

Prototype Information:

The E3-2000 Series was introduced between December 2008 and April 2010, with 12 trains consisting of 7-car sets. The
headlight design and other features were changed from the E3-1000 Series, and they replaced the 400 Series, which had been
in service since the commencement of the Yamagata Shinkansen. In April 2014, the colour scheme was changed to enhance
the appeal of the Yamagata Shinkansen, in conjunction with the Yamagata Destination Campaign 2015.

The E3-2000 Series “Tsubasa,” one of the main trains of the Yamagata Shinkansen, is now available in its new colour
scheme. Scheduled for release in February 2025, the <10-1969–1971 E5 Series Shinkansen “HAYABUSA”> and <10-1967/1968
H5 Series Hokkaido Shinkansen “HAYABUSA”> can be combined to recreate scenes of coupled operations between Tokyo and
Fukushima, just like the actual trains.

The product will now feature a slotless motor. The item number, price, and JAN code will be changed accordingly. Other
specifications remain unchanged.

Model Features:

① The front light shape (which differs from that of the E3 Series 1000), as well as the window arrangement in cars 16 and 17,
the side display, and the under-floor covers are accurately reproduced.
② Beautifully reproduces the colored body based on symbols of the Yamagata prefecture; the “mandarin duck” and safflower
(the prefectural flower of Yamagata).
③ Four symbols representing the four seasons in Yamagata are replicated on the sides of cars 11 and 16.
④ Recreates the red pantograph as seen on the real train.
⑤ The lead car E311 (No. 11) is equipped with a lead car coupling mechanism.
⑥ The head/tail lights are lit. Car No. 11 (E311-2010) comes with an off-switch.
⑦ Diaphragm couplers are used for intermediate couplings.
⑧ Slotless motor achieves smooth and silent operation.
⑨ The wheels are designed to represent the disc brakes on the sides of the wheels, a characteristic of Shinkansen trains.
⑩ The destination sign on the side of the model is printed in solid black. Destination display stickers included.
